Some people think that all university students should study whatever they like .others believe that they should only be allowed to study subjects that will be useful in the future ,such as those related to science and technology. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. A lot of people share this view that students should not study courses that they are not interested in on them .While others say that courses which are helpful for their future must be obligatory. On the one side ,students are not attracted by their courses ,unless they are interesting .So it is difficult for them to follow their studies when they do not like them .This means that they would lose their enthusiasm for on studying .And so ,they might not get appropriate results .Moreover ,if we let them to choose what they are interested in ,not only do they do their assignment, but also they do some extra activities y as well .Besides ,they can select their future occupation more and more easily er than it used to be . On the other hand , an efficient education system in universities with fixed mandatory courses can be useful , because this can be more helpful for future of society .What is more ,it can makes students who are indolent study more .Furthermore ,they will be ready for jobs that our country will need .But ,if students choose on their own ,they may choose some popular subjects among all available .As a results ,others will be unselected even if our industry and society might need them .so there will a crucial shortage in several fields when this happen . Personally, I believe that both views are correct and it depends on the context. So universities must have several compulsory subjects and some optional ones as well. The last point that I want to mention is that universities can guide pupils to choose their subjects by on their own because this would help them to learn skills which are more suitable for them.
