The culture and traditions are changing from generation to generation. Why is it happening? What can Nowadays many people choose ready-made food and refuse to cook at home. Why do you think it happens? What are the advantages and disadvantages of such a choice? It goes without saying that these days an overwhelming majority of individuals from all walks of life prefer to not cook at home. The pros and cons of such a controversial will be discussed in the following lines. Tired of the hectic pace of life, the majority of the populace especially in large cities scarcely spend their time at in their kitchen. They mainly reason that their they value time values far more than that of a cook???. Bearing in mind that many a person tend to have his meal by such a wise solution, ready-made food has become a lucrative industry. In addition to this, advertisements play a crucial role in persuading people to buy ready-made food. Not only do these adverts show exciting pictures of a variety of options a customer can have, but they also offer special discount if people become their frequent customer, hence their success in this industry. Banafsheh In some areas of the US, a curfew is imposed, in which teenagers are not allowed to be out of doors after a particular time at night unless they are accompanied by an adult. What is your opinion about this? In some places of the United States, youngsters are not permitted to be out after a specific time at night, unless they are accompanied by an adult. In my opinion, this is vital in order to have a safe environment and keep them from probable detrimental dangers. All Parents try to make a safe and tranquil ambience to raise their children. First of all, imposing a curfew especially in deprived places is a necessity. We should consider that criminals and delinquents tend to commit crime throughout nights more than days because they are barely detected at that time. If teens are out without a mature person, imagine what a hazardous incidents and misfortunes will happen?! Furthermore, young teenagers are not mature enough to discern the fraud due to the fact that a curfew seems to be imposed. So, presence of an adult or a parent is essential. In addition to higher probability of crime rates, at a particular time drug dealers and anti-social groups hide to entice adolescents. Also, teens may land themselves in trouble by befriending such people. It is notable, for example, at this critical age, children do not obey easily, since; it is all their parents’ and government’s responsibility to take care of them from perils. Therefore, supervision by adults will prevent arising mishaps arising and deter commission of crime among teens. In conclusion, it is pivotal crucial for teens to be gravely execute/observe/followd the curfew at certain time of the night and unless there is the presence of an adult or a parent is urgent. In other words, outside their houses is insecure so that parents should be wiser and more protective.

Tpo 13 – second part - 348 words The extended family (grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles) is less important now than it was it the past. Agree or disagree? This topic is considered a controversial one. Some people believe in that the importance of the extended family had has decreased reduced and some believe in the exact opposite point. When I was younger, I would definitely have said that the extended family had not lost its importance since past. However, no longer do I think that way for 2 reasons which I will explain in the following essay. To begin with, a vast majority of people are quiet busy these days because of the lack of time and the responsibilities they have. These kinds of issues make them not only struggle with their own problems but also not to pay enough attention to their extended family despite themselves. Having said that, these behaviors are utterly unconscious and have led to decrease decreasing eminence of extended family in this generation’s lives. My own family’s experience is a compelling example of this theory. I can remember that when I was a child we were connected to my aunts and uncles and had gatherings every weekend but now nowadays both of my family and I are busy and it is impossible to communicate with my aunts and whole family every weekend. Secondly, back then families were so crowded and all the family members had lived together, so the importance of the extended family was inevitable and none of the family members could deny it. But this generation’s families are not that chaotic and crowded. Moreover, these days, children are more autonomic autonomous and more likely to leave their family in order to get independent which is why it seems like the extended family had lost its eminency. For instance, these days more people leave their family and hometown and immigrate to other cities and even countries in order to obtain a better life and it is obvious that their family bonds get faderpaler. To sum up, modern life and facing its problems plays a key factor in reducing the importance of the extended family and also we can count reducing the reduction in the number of children in a the family and independence of the family members as another essential factor.

All university students should be required to take history courses no matter what their field of study is? There is a heated dispute in philosophy revolving around the qualities that make the humans what they are, which point to the history as one of the most irreconcilable items of the list of these qualities, in that human-being is a historical existence. Although I am totally aware of the importance of this history, personally, I cannot take an absolute direction toward the claim of having compulsory history courses in the university. On the one hand, life necessitates us to knowknowing ourselves our own existence. Mentally, the cognition process is intended to the three conditions of the time; past, now and future, so we cannot escape the understanding of these if we want to be conscious about ourselves. Moreover, there is a familiar quote saying: "The nation which does not know its history is doomed to failure". Democratic believesbeliefs, as an example, are constructed upon the experiences of our ancestors who dramatically struggled with different ideas about governments. Simply put, we learn from the past. Of course, unfortunately, rarely can you find a history reading object that is not trying to prove that some were better than others. Consequently, I believe in the advantages of learning history provided a fair enlightened atmosphere is dedicated to widening the students' horizons. But it history is expected to be taught in schools to children, on the other hand, by which I mean students choose the upper higher education due to its specialist manner. In fact, they are not seeking general knowledge in classes anymore, since they can pursue that by their own. Instead, they are going to university to learn some special major enabling them to thrive in that particular field, . of course, they will ultimately get acquainted with the history of their field too. In a nutshell, judging this claim requires us to consider not only the characteristics of humankind as a being inseparable from its his history but also the property features of university as a guide for those who are seeking the knowledge on their own. Therefore, we can have some brief analytic courses ofhistory rather than extensive ones imbibed with some numbers or radically nationalist and racist ideas.

Governments and big companies should work together to reverse environmental damage, rather than making individuals responsible for that. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give your opinion and relevant examples. Environmental damage done in recent centuries has led to a growing concern around the world. Some might believe that governments and big organizations should make a change rather than individuals. I believe this problem calls for a correlation between governments and big companies as well as individuals. First, it is governments which possess the power to take significant actions and not individuals. Now that man has finally noticed the abyss once he is right on top of it, the issue needs to be addressed more seriously, perhaps as serious as national security for all governments. As delightful as it is to witness enthusiastic environmental activists and groups, distributing leaflets, launching campaigns and organizing meetings, these will not reverse or even stop the approaching crisis. In fact, so massive has the destruction has been so far that environmental apocalypse painted in movies and novels may come sooner than it is thought. To introduce green taxes to finance their environmental initiatives, to put a ban on producing, importing and using appliances which are not energy-efficient and to forbid consuming fossil fuels, governments can contribute enormously to saving the earth since they can pass and enforce the law. On the other hand, individuals can and should play their roles to prevent what is not far to happen. First, people need to stop being oblivious to/of the damage which is caused, and raise awareness about their natural surroundings. Every single one will count. Teachers, for instance, as a part of an educational program can inform pupils about our ecosystem, the various environmental problems and potential resolutions to them such as reducing different forms of pollution and preventing deforestation. It may seem fictional to expect all drivers to abandon their cars, but a unanimous tendency toward public transport would not be over-ambitious. To conclude, it seems to me that perhaps the best pathway to take is one that balances both governments and individuals and the cooperation between them. However, this middle ground may only work when we all start to take a glance at what we have done.

You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help. Write a letter to this friend, in your letter  Give details of your study plans  Explain why you want to get a part-time job  Suggest how your friend could help you find a job Dear James, I hope you’re doing great and everything is fine on your side. As I have told you before, I’ll be doing a master’s degree within a month at the UBC. For this degree in computer science, I won’t be having too much coursework, so I’ll have a lot of spare time that I can manage to do something with it. Actually, I was thinking of getting a part-time job while I’m studying there to save up some money for the time when my fiancée joins me a year after. I reckon this would give us enough to explore the city and have fun around. So, I was wondering if you could help me out to arrange some job interviews so that I can start the process. As a student, I’ll be allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week, which I think would suffice. If you remember the other day you mentioned one of your friends over here has recently run a startup within the online retailing industry. I’d appreciate it if you could kindly ask him if they have any vacancy for their call center. I’m sure I could easily handle a job like that since my major is computer-related and computer is kind of second nature to me. I won’t forget your help. By the way, please say hi to your wife for me. Take care, Mojtaba
