Nowadays music and newspapers are available online. What are the advantages and disadvantages of such services? Give your own opinion followed by relevant examples. It is common knowledge that people can access to music and newspapers online. While it has its merits, there are some drawbacks as well. When it comes to this controversial topic, I maintain the idea that despite the downsides of availability of such sources, this phenomenon/development not only outweighs but also outnumbers the negative ones. In this essay I will attempt to elaborate on my standpoints on the following grounds with some relevant examples. First and foremost, a highly favorable side of accessing to newspapers and music online would be widespread dispatch of information and culture, which can by no means be ignored for some justifications. There is no cast of doubt on the fact that a lot of people in the developing countries do not have access to printed newspaper, and if the owners can put it this stuff online millions of people round the world can access to the updated news and the hot topics of the day even with a primitive, low speed access to the Internet, people in developing countries included. I myself as a fan of different kinds of music did not have access to the music due to religious prohibition in my country but now thanks to the technology I have a rich bank of my favorite music on my laptop. In the second place reduction in the use of raw materials such as paper as another positive aspect must be considered for a couple of reasons. It goes without saying that we have ruined lots of jungles and green nature because of our need for to wood products, and if we can make it popular around the world that people read only the electronic version of newspapers this leads to dramatic reduction in of the usage of paper. As an example there is a famous weekly magazine about nature in my hometown, called Sabzi, which stopped its printed version and only members who pay online can have access to its online edition/version. The same story is true for music. Decades ago the only common way of copying music was cassettes but nowadays fortunately we do not need to waste raw material to produce cassettes. In the third place I must confess that despite many advantages of production of such materials online many critics say that we are making people more and more dependent on to technology. Old people who are not familiar with the Internet are losing some newspapers and definitely are not so familiar with the new generation of music if we put all these things online. To cut a long story short, I believe that although despite the fact that accessing to the materials we talked above online suffers from some setbacks negative facts, I maintain that its strength, including promotion of widespread the knowledge and culture, noticeably overshadows its weaknesses.
