Some experts believe that is better for children to begin learning a foreign language at primary school rather than secondary school. Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages? There is a controversy it is arguable as to whether children must acquire second language at elementary school or secondary school. As far as I am Concerned, the merits of learning a foreign language at an early age Outweigh the demerits of this issue. Learning a foreign language in primary school has several advantages. Firstly, children’s mind is as tabular rasa, so it is easy for them to learn a new language. Secondly, as the statistics show, in childhood The level of enthusiasm is higher when while children experience less distraction. Therefore, they absorb a new language faster and more pleasantly. Thirdly, when it comes to second language acquisition, the atmosphere of class plays a pivotal role. In this situation it does dose not matter to for children to while they make a mistake in their speaking or the other skills no matter how big their mistakes are. A feeling of camaraderie and improvement transform the ambience of the class to heaven a safe haven for them. On the other hand, some scientists are of the opinion that second language learners are more successful in secondary school rather than primary school. pupils in this period of time, are more decisive about their future. They know about the merits of second language acquisition in their future lives. Moreover ,They have the luxury of time, while there is no concern for them to be as the breadwinner, They could improve to the extent of being indistinguishable from native speakers. at the end, the effect of learning a foreign language in their social status quo context/ milieu and other aspects of their lives is as incentive for them. In conclusion, although learning a foreign language in secondary school has some benefits, the advantages of second language acquisition in primary school are is by far more beneficial than those of which in secondary school.
