Transport delays and long journey times are widespread phenomenon in many cities today. What are the causes and solutions related to this problem. Nowadays long-lasting journeys and wasted time related to traffic jams have become a common issue practice compared to the past. What will be addressed in this essay is discussion as to what causes could be highlighted in this regard as well as how it could be possible to tackle these problems. At the heart of the matter are difficulties in public transport. Provided in poor quality in different conurbations, infrastructures give rise to fundamental problems in the way urban dwellers utilize communal transport systems nearly throughout the globe. Chief Cheif among the causes of the problem particularly in cities where which are considered transport hubs is lack of flexible timetable for workers. A case in point is time interference when pupils relocate to schools and employees commute to their workplaces. Further, urban sprawl and unemployment in rural areas result in overcrowding and this could be clear that the more city dwellers, the more traffic congestion. Tehran is a particularly good example of this problem which is symptematic symptomatic of improper policies in the societal terms. Given the question of solutions individuals and governments alike should take measures in order to stem the tide of increased traffic.
