The population of most cities is growing as people move to cities to find work and new opportunities. What problems does over population in cities cause? Not so long ago, in a time that agriculture was the main driving engine of the economy, rurality was something to be esteemed. Most of the families in villages had their own farms on which they gained huge fortunes by cultivation. However, nowadays with the dominance of big and multinational companies on agricultural products, not a considerable amount number of opportunities could be found to make money in villages. Financial struggles on one hand and lack of provided facilities on the other hand, havehas forced villagers to leave rural areas forto cities for new jobs and maybe a better life. These this kind of displacements has made most of the cities overcrowded, which should be scrutinized as a serious issue. It is undeniable that increasing populations havehas a reciprocal effect on the social security. Several statistics have shown the a much higher rate of crime in a metropolitan city like Paris comparing with a small townie such as Grenoble. In overpopulated cities, civil obstacles such as pollution and traffic jams are inevitable and municipality should invest huge amounts of money on in developing infrastructure to overcome these types of issues. In overcrowded cities, generally, business districts are very expensive to live in that only affluent families could afford it, thus many people would diverge spread to slums located close to the cities. These poor neighborhoods would also impose significant cost to on the government for providing sanitysanitation, accommodation and transportation routes as well as primary requirements. The project and social houses recently built in the United States are the obvious example of the slum lifestyle. Admitting the several aforementioned obstacles, by considering such a substantial inequality of provided facilities between cities and countries, it is unindisputable that every villager would choose urban life for a better job vacancy, improved salary, more appropriate equipment and even suitable education for his children.
