The Public transportation system is one the aspects of development in every country, and governments should work on those to offer their citizens a safe and fast transportation system. However, when the question arises on if a government should invest inon constructing new railways, or they should spend on developing the existing ones, people have different ideas. Here, I’m I am going to discuss both ideas and include my own opinion. People who follows the first opinion, think that railways are a fast and safe way of communication between cities, and therefore they want new railways as much as possible for their commute. The other reason to support their idea is that, railways have the possibility to carry tons of goods at once which leads to much lower prices of products from one side of the country to the others. They also believe that railways decrease the volume of traffic between cities which is a big problem nowadays in all countries worldwide. A best example of railways usage is the Singapore, in which the railway system, called MRT, is used by all people instead of their own cars, which resulted to in no little traffic at all in the country. On the other hand, people who believes the government should improve the existing lines support their ideas with the reason of that the existing lines are one of the most used systems by people and therefore they should be in a good condition. In conclusion, I personally believe that, the national budget in a developed or a developing country, should be distributed for improving the existing railways with a priority of constructing new railways. |
