Many people believe that the use of new technology improves lives of employees. Others think it is a disadvantage for them. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. Today technological innovations have significantly positive impacts on our life and many of them are employed in businesses. However, new methods always have some critics who resist embracing these technologies. This essay try to glance at the pros and cons of technologies in the workplace and their effects on workforce. One of the most repeated complaints about new technologies in workplaces is hardness of adaptation to them. Some employees used to old means that they have leant in the past and they cannot update themselves with new technologies changed every days. Adjustment to innovations in work means that workforce must to be ready for attempting in training courses and constantly study which sometimes is tortuous. Another employees’ problem with modern technologies is permanent treatment of job losing. After industries revolution everyday new machines come and are substituted for people and this trend has been accelerated these days. From many works’ viewpoints, not only do their lives not improve, but also they have to get used to the fear of laying off. On the other hand, it seems than new tools have streamlined some boring repetitious processes and help employees to focus on main tasks rather than unimportant details. It can cause staffs to do their duties more efficient and therefore can improve their performance which it has a positive effect on their income and their job position. Moreover, these technologies improve accuracy and reduce employees’ mistakes and as result, it will decrease anxiety and stress among them. For instance, consider a bank clerk who do some tasks simultaneously and how stressful it would be if he make mistake in counting money or calculation of a deposit interest while computers can solve them in a millisecond. In addition, some new communication ways like the internet help people to work from their home remotely and these kinds of progresses maintain a balance between work and life.In conclusion, although new technologies have some drawbacks for some employees, it seems that through history, human beings have endeavoured to create tools for their real needs and simplification for next steps.
