Some people think that education systems round the world undermine creativity. To what extent do you agree with this statement? Many Parents still have major influence on a child’s decision to pursue science careers irrespective of what their interests or talents are. Our education system is also predicated on the idea of academic ability. Hence, instead of helping students flourishing their talents in various ways, education system squander their ability pretty ruthlessly. One of the major problems with schools is that they stigmatize mistakes. National education has run where mistakes are the worst thing children can make and the result is that kids are educated out of their creative capacities. There is a raft of research show that if people are not prepared to be wrong, we will never come up with anything original. What is obvious is that if children do not know about something they will have a go. They are not frightened of being wrong. What is more, every education system has the same hierarchy of subjects. At the top are mathematics and the bottom are the arts. The hierarchy is rooted on tow ideas. Firstly, the most useful subjects for work are at the top. So children are probably steered benignly away from things they liked at school. Secondly, academic ability which is really come to dominate our view of intelligence, because the universities design the system in their image. The whole system of public education around the word is a protracted process of university entrance. And the consequence is that many highly talented, think they are not so because the thing they were good at school was not valued, or was actually stigmatized. To put it in a nutshell, my contention is that education system should value talents and creativities regardless if of whether the talent is academically or not. Education system is meant to take us into future that we cannot grasp. As the need of future societies is unpredictable, we need all kinds of talents to be flourished.
