Your local council is considering closing a sports and leisure center that it runs, in order to save money. - Give details of how you and your friends or family use the center - Explain why the sports and leisure center is important for the local community - Describe the possible effects on local people if the center closes Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to express my strong dissatisfaction about the decision you are willing to make to close the only sports and leisure center where I live. My family and I have been regularly using this center for several years as well as my friends and needless to say that it has played a pivotal role in our physical and mental health, leading to us having a charming life. As you may know, our center has a wide range of functions from doing sports to holding some cultural meetings and each week people including my intimate companions get together and enjoy our free time. With monotonous and demanding working situations having profound effect on us, it is of paramount importance to have regular exercise and a place where we can gather, have fun and share latest releases, thereby enhancing our sense of community. Not having health-promoting and disease-preventing activities, no doubt we will have been adversely affected by this issue in the near future. We will face health problems, turn to a couch potato and children will not be able to learn social skills. I would really appreciate if you did not follow this plan.
