Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is a waste of money for governments to fund space travel or space exploration. Some people criticize states for allocating money to space exploration programs. In fact, they maintain that there are much important matters on Earth which should be resolved. I personally believe that space is a part of our world which is worth being paid attention. In the following paragraphs, I will elaborate on my arguments. To begin with, it is a cavalier attitude that space exploration is peculiar to discovering the Milky Way. In fact, many developments such as GPS, accurate weather prediction, and solar cells are direct consequences of it. Furthermore, some researches on medical subjects are being carried out in space so prolong human life. Second, it is unclear how long we will live on Earth. If something happened to earth, our species would be wiped out. In other words, in light of the changes Earth is undergoing such as climate changes, scientists are looking for an alternative place to live. As a result, we will face a developed colonization such that some researchers opine that Martians, future humans, will not set foot on Earth. Finally, I personally believe that the endless demands of humans are a host problem of all changes on our planet. To put it simply, humans have put a considerable strain on resources of Earth doing harm to the environment. Besides, space is a wealth of materials which is able to reduce the given strain. Consequently, astronauts are putting efforts to mine asteroids to gain unlimited materials, thereby reducing exploitation of nature. To sum up, we are human and curiosity is our distinguishing characteristic. Also, space has a direct impact on our lives. Therefore, we should figure out how it behaves and influences our environment. However, we should be careful and take concrete steps to not cause damage to other species. Furthermore, although space is vital to us, giving priority to our problems for funding should not be forgotten.
