Some people think that parents should teach children how to be good members of society. Others, however, believe that school is the place to learn this. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. Throughout history, rarely can you find a society without not pursuing individuals who act as productive members. Having said that, whether children should learn this ability to be a valuable member of their community from their parents or their school is invariably a controversial issue. To begin with, affected their manner of life from parents, children spend a considerable proportion of life with themspending a lot of time with their parents, children are affected by their parents’ manners, by which I mean if parents teach their kids how to contribute to society effectively, children they would be aware of the role they must playing in their community. For example, how they are expected to behave which lest they violation violateof other people’s rights, or also to obey the rules. Nevertheless, if there is a contrast between whatever parental advice and what they do, it would give rise to the inverse/unitended consequences. On the other hand, this cannot be only the responsibility of the parents and the role played by school cannot be denied. Once children go to school, they experience a wider community where teachers and their peers have equally considerable influence as much as they have in the home. Moreover, carrying out some teamwork projects can permeate induce a positive image in their minds about how effective they can be just in a group of class so that they will be more of an effective person in society as a whole. To conclude, I personally opine that both parents and school can act simultaneously as the crucial elements which they can help children to be a productive members of their society.
