Banafsheh Some people say that all levels of education of education from primary schools to universities, too much time is spent on learning facts and not enough on learning practical skills. Do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. Many people believe that through education of a person from schools to universities, mostly there is a considerable time spent on learning facts instead of practical skill. To some extent I agree with this statement. I will discuss more about it further in this essay and support my point of view. First of all, it is obvious that our education system should be revised in terms of its application and productivity. It is admissible acceptable that we should learn theoretical knowledge, but if it is not put into practice, whatever we acquire will be useless. For instance, a graduate of mechanical engineering cannot may not even be able to even repair a pipe. Likewise, with other majors’ graduates cannot do too. In that, I totally agree that there is too much emphasis on teaching facts and it dose does not have sufficient practice on their technical aspects of learning. Nevertheless, it is essential to learn some facts. In many cases you cannot find a proper job due to the lack of academic knowledge and theoretical information. To give an idea, especially in our country in most conditions whenever you apply for a job, they want youdemand a university degree plus some years of experience but if you have just practical skills, they would not employ you. In conclusion, I agree with the argument that in order to avoid prevent students from spending their precious time on exceeding number of ineffective subjects, they should have a proper ambiance and training on experimental subjects because it isthey are more useful.
