Not enough people realize the importance of natural world. What is the reason for people`s lack of awareness? How can people be made more aware? Rising sea levels, melting the polar ice bergs, depleting the ozone layer are examples of the most natural disasters which severely threaten our existence on the earth. The thing is although all of these results from human misbehaviors towards the nature, there are only few who cares about natural life. From my point of view there is some political reasons behind such unawareness which I will discuss in the following and after that I will suggest some practical solutions. On one hand, most countries are increasingly opting for rapid economical and industrial growth both of which would have many detrimental consequences for the natural world. the developing countries are selling fossil fuels such as oil to the developed nations to improve their economy regardless of the drawbacks such a decision would bring about. This reason is strong enough for the authorities to hide from the public what dangerous consequences fossil fuels excessive consumptions would have. ,Hence the people’s lack of knowledge. On the other hand, the consumerist culture is another major reason which endangered our natural surroundings. Nowadays, hardly a day goes by without hearing about commercials persuading people to buy different commodities with their colorful packages which produce a vast amount of plastic waste. The more people are induced by these commercials, the more they will buy to fulfil their wanting demands/insatiable appetite and not their real needs. In this situation it is incumbent on all environmentalist campaigns to inform the public about the impact of their misbehaviors on their nature. Encouraging individuals to try a minimalistic lifestyle for example could be a helpful action. That means, buying things only when you truly need them not for a joy. And last but not least, it is our responsibility as society members to study more deeply about the environmental issues and to teach the youngsters as the future generation to have a better manner regarding their natural world without which the whole nature would be demolished in the nearest future and our existence would be put in at a serious risk.
