Completing university education is thought by some to be the best worst way to get a good job. On the other hand, other people think that getting experience and developing soft skills is more important. Discuss both sides and give your opinion. There is a widespread public debate over the value of a degree and getting experience to find a good job. Some people believe that being a university graduate is the best way to securing secure a good job, while others think that it is better to have experience and soft skills. In my opinion, it depends on the career field. On the one hand, many believe there is a strong competition for getting a good job in well-known and major companies so it is easier for those who are university graduates to land a job.in addition, they claim earning a college degree opening opens up better career opportunities like better paying and higher skilled jobs. Moreover, colleges are filled with volunteer organizations and professional societies where students can meet others who are in their fields and the most helpful aspect of making these connections is may be being able to suggest them as a recommendation when businesses start hiring and being hired by a companythem in their field. On the other hand, there are some who think having work experience and soft skills are is more important than education. They believe in some positions there are overwhelming numbers of applicants having relevant experience that is more valuable, . therefore, employers are recruiting candidates who are well-rounded and can demonstrate competence in interpersonal skills. For example, those who wish to pursue a career in business will not only need to have an in-depth understanding of business systems, financial management and be able to analyze big data they will also need to possess soft skills competencies too. Finally, in my opinion, whether needing high level education or experience depends on the career field, . there are some careers where experience trumps education and vice versa. For example, being a doctor, teacher or lawyer without educational background is impossible. In contrast, in some businesses for instance sales, having a track record of profits /dollars brought into the company will outweigh any degree. In conclusion, a person’s chosen carrier career field will dictate how important education or experience is important to get a good job.
