Teachers were more appreciated and valued by society in the past than they were nowadays. No one can ever deny the significant role of teachers in children's life because pupils imitate from them. Teachers are eminent persons in every society, so we should respect them as much as we can. This question has been debated for many years and has two sides. Some agree that their value has increased because of the facilities which the government provides for them, but on the other hand some believes this does not include money and its related aspects and I totally agree with this statement for a some main reasons which I will explain with a couple of examples. First and foremost, nowadays with the advent of technology, students are no longer dependent on teachers' knowledge because they can easily access the internet and they can search and learn without teachers' their involvement even more than their class discussion, so it causes the teacher to be less important. For instance, my cousin usually takes his phone to school and when his teacher asks more questions, he would quickly google and answer them. Another important point is that, today most of the people in society are educated, so they do not consider the teacher asan impressive person in society but in the past because/since the educated segment of society was much smallerless, people more respected teachers because they assumed that teachers are wiser than themselves. For example, my grandmother explains that when she was young, all neighbors consulted with her father when they wanted to deal purchase/trade diverse goods. Last but not least, in the past there was were not enough teachers for each specific areas and in that circumstance pupils had one teacher for a whole year or for some years, so in that situation children felt more attached to their teachers and this was conducive to more honor respect/courtesy/recognition but today students have special teachers for each lessons. On the basis of reasons that were mentioned above, teachers were used to be more appreciated by both society and people because the number of teachers were lesssmaller, the internet did not exist and pupils felt more dependent on their teachers/these pillars of society. |
