Some people think that it is better to educate boys and girls in separate schools. Others, however, believe that boys and girls benefit more from attending mixed schools. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. The age-old debate about single sex schools versus mixed ones is still one of the most controversial discussions in this modern era. Some people believe that boys and girls must be educated separately, while others share a widespread belief that pupils should participate in the same schools, no matter from what gender are they. In this essay, I will explore both points of view, and finally state my own opinion of each. The proponents of single sex schools argue that, in mixed schools students may be distracted from lessons to interact with their opposite sex. They strongly claim that, pupils, especially girls, are more successful and have better results when they are being educateding alongside their same sex classmates. Moreover, in single sex schools, the subjects can be more specialized based on pupils' gender. On the other hand, some other educationalists feel that, not only are the schools a place for academic learning, but also it they should broaden the range of essential life skills,. Which would not be possible in an unrealistic environment made by sex segregation. A person's main character become mostly completedevelops before leaving school at 18, so when they have not learned how to live in real society with both sexes by then, they will hence encounter different types of depression and mental problems. In conclusion, there are strong opinions on both sides, and of course there are pros and cons for each side. I myself grew up in a single sex school, and from my own experience, although in this kind of school children become more academically successful, they will face many problems in their future adult lives about how to communicate with the other sex. So I am a huge fan of the mixed schools. Perhaps, the grass is greener on the other side of the fence.
