Some people believe that it is more important to teach children the literature of their own country than of other countries. Do you agree or disagree? There is an idea that learning about your national literature have has priority compared to other countries' for children. I completely agree with this view and explain my reasons in this essay. On one hand, students can understand their local written works easer more easily because of living in the same culture and place, so it could be much more effective and interesting for children to learn about their own country's literary texts. Furthermore, not only is literature an artistic work, but also it can reflect the morality and life style of people in a region, so children can learn about their culture while literature is thoughttaught. At last but not least, for proper understanding of other nations' writings, it could be necessary for students to learn about their own literary works at first. On the other hand, books are written in multitude languages, so lots of them have to be translated for the other countries. Using of translated books, people may not be able to comprehend all the details of an author's works, so starting to teach literature to children with other nation's written works can be an extremely complicated task. For example, poetry have has harmony and rhyme which are the artistic part of it, but just the meaning of poems are is translatable and teaching the basic rules of poetry from a translated source can be impossible. In conclusion, I believe that children should learn about their countries' literature before international ones, because it could help them have a more comprehensive understanding of others nations' written works.
