In a number of countries, some people think it is necessary to spend large sums of money on constructing new railway lines for very fast trains between cities. Other believe the money should be spend on improving public transport. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. Transportation plays a crucial role in development of the countries. A huge number of goods, facilities and people are moved via the network of the transportation systems a day especially thorough railways. This essay is going to discuss issues related to either repair of the available railways or constructing new ones in more details. On the one hand, construction of these infrastructures has a great impact on both time and cost which means a financier capable to support the project financially shall be found, and a patient people to tolerate the long lasting duration of the implementation process. Sometimes these projects are called ‘Never Never Game’ by the locals revealing their attitude, and however you show the graphs exhibiting the progress of the project, they will not believe until the opening ceremony of the project. Questions like, if they had enough connections with the major cities, they would experience a better life condition, urge many of the decision makers of society to provoke investment funds to invest in railway projects. In this way, not only do they benefit from those rural area’s economic potentials but also the locals can enjoy more from better access to the urban facilities. Overall, construction of new railways or repairing the existing ones have both merits and demerits. It may not be rational to judge which one is better without the availability of proper data and analysis.
