It is inevitable that as technology develops so traditional cultures must be lost. Technology and traditions are incompatible, you cannot have both together. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? Undeniable inclination of humankind toward advancement in many aspects of life always urges them to improve facilities. Dissatisfaction about the current situation and creativity are other forces resonate this desire, But there are some rules empowered by the traditions that seem to be able to help us communicate with others well enough and serves us with a nice feeling of acceptance and relaxation. Many claim that these two cannot exist simultaneously. This essay is going to discuss the issue in more details. At the very first point it should be clarified that traditions are coming from the past millenniums or at list centuries. Great number of people in the history have been inhabited based on them and feel well satisfied in that way, but eager to innovate some are always looking forward to introduce new technologies to make life easier for the public. Existing beside each other a conflict between these two groups are unavoidable. A simple concept of “changes always accompanied with pain” may be the backbone of many objections against flourishing technological advancements. One group would like to maintain its outlook on his prospects and prosperities, while the other prefer to continue life based on its habits and regularities. By the way, it should be mentioned that all the modifications introduced by technology, at least in my opinion, are about the form and not the roots or contents. For instance, humankind needs relations with each other, one hundred years ago people do so physically by going to each other’s homes, but thanks to recent developments you can use the Internet for that aim rather than face to face connection as our grandfathers did so. In this way the only change is how it happens, and not what should happen. While the latter had been existing and will be existed in its static manner, but the former will experience alternations even more in the future which is a direct consequence of technology. Over all, technological advancements happen regardless of what tradition says. It should be emphasized that as one eye cannot look at two distinguished points simultaneously so these two attitude could not survive with each other. Technology and innovations always win, as history taught us, but it should go thorough society which is highly affected by their believes and traditions.
