Governments should spend money on railways rather than roads. To what extent do you agree with this statement? Making people’s life easier and comfortable is one of the Government’s duties in countries. In the other hand, fast & safe transportation system and improved communication and health care are important aspects of the development of a country. To a certain point, I agree with the given statement. There are some reason that developing the railroads system are more useful than highways and roads. First of all, Governments can reduce the pollution in large cities by building more railroads and train stations. If railways systems are developed inhabitants will commute by train instead of personal cars which is safer and way of traveling to get to their office. Railroads systems cause comparatively less environmental damage while the road vehicles are the main reason for increasing pollution around the world. Secondly, nowadays, people spend a plenty of time on traffic in rush hours which can make them angry and tired. Therefore, using public transportation help people to save time. Such as reading relative books and improving their skills. And thirdly, taking public transportation is cheaper than using personal cars. In order that people can save money to do others that they interested. So, it’s possible for people to set aside some money to buy new car or what they need. In conclusion, the population of the world is increasing rapidly and that is why investing more money on faster and dependable transportation system is more logical than investing on the common transportation system. Invest on railroads system is the better choice for any government.
