Some people say that the only reason for learning a foreign language is in order to travel to or work in a foreign country. Others say that these are not the only reasons why someone should learn a foreign language. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. Learning a foreign language has many advantages including communicating with foreign people, gathering knowledge, better job opportunities and so on. Many people believe that there is just one reason to learn a second language that is either visiting or working on in that country. In contrast, many others opine that the benefits of learning different languages are not limited to the just few these few reasons only. On the one hand, it is very common that people want to learn a foreign language only to be able to communicate with people who speak that language or just because of they want to immigrate to that country. Thus a large number of people in my country have been taught in english, german, french and even Arabic for just they want communicate to others. So it is important that people have an effective communication with learning foreign language well. Plus lots of researches indicate that people tend to learn english and german as their second language instead of Russian and Arabic because of the countries where speak in english and german are spoken provide best immigration situation for Iranian residents. On the other hand, other researchers researches shows that the people who learn new languages in younger ages are more talented in other fields than others who do not. Furthermore, if you knew languages apart from your mother tongue, you would be able to read more books, have lots of information about other cultures and lifestyles of different nationalities. So learning a new language has many benefits as well. In conclusion, Although it is clear that people initially learn a foreign language for working or immigrating to developed countries, it is quite evident that there are far many more advantages of/to learning a foreign language that to work or immigrate to a country.
