The first graph illustrates that in 1985, Australia exported 15 millions of tonnes of wheat followed by a slight increase in 1986.However, As can be seen, from the beginning of 1987 till the end of 1989, a steady decline in the amount of exports took place. After that, the figure remained constant. The second graph makes it clear that Canada exported 19 millions of tonnes of wheat in 1985. Although this figure dropped to 19 millions of tonnes by the end of 1986, it rocketed to 25 millions of tonnes in the next two years, followed by a nosedive to 13 millions of tonnes in 1989. In the last year of the corresponding period, this figure went up to 18 millions of tonnes. Based on the third graph, the European Community exported 17 millions of tonnes of wheat in the beginning of the period while this number decreased to 14 millions of tonnes in 1986 followed by a steady increase to just over 15 millions of tonnes. From 1989 onward, the rate of exports ascended to 20 millions of tonnes. Overall, we can see that by the end of the period, the amount of wheat exported from these three areas reached a new peak.Australia and Canada experienced a decline while European Community saw an ascent. |
