In the future, more people will choose to go on holiday in their own country and not travel abroad on holiday. Do you agree or disagree? In this day and age, the number of people who travel to foreign countries has increased by leaps and bounds. Yet, there has been much discussion revolving around the issue of whether in years to come more people would opt for traveling within their countries' borders or not. I would argue that as a result of modern technologies and the social media overseas holidays would be more well-liked. Traveling to other countries, many a person encounters stumbling blocks. To start with, it may put a financial burden on the shoulders of breadwinners. An overseas trip is deemed extravagant and luxury since it entails higher costs ranging from those of accommodation and transportation to money exchanges. Moreover, the language barrier would serve as a deterrent and negatively affects tourists' communication which is by and large of paramount significance for blending in the new environment and experiencing its exotic features, hence the importance of traveling in supervision of a tour guide in order to prevent potential problems which may render inconveniences for many. Despite the aforementioned difficulties for a foreign trip, we are witness to a rise in popularity of international tourism all across the globe due to many reasons. First and foremost, the prosperous and lucrative tourist industry encourages people to visit diverse places by providing an appealing environment and using mass media to advertise. We are bombarded by an avalanche of eyecatching advertisements introducing tourist spots along with entertainments and festivals, thereby being motivated to gain a hands-on experiment. Equally important, we are living in an inextricably interwoven community in terms of communication, and these online connections could motivate individuals to travel abroad. Not only has the pervasive influence of social media facilitated crosscultural communications, but also it has blurred the borders between countries by making creating a global village. In conclusion, while traveling abroad would occasion travelers instances of difficulties, we are witness to a surge in popularity of them amongst individuals as a result of new technologies and social media.
