Some people argue that these experiments should be banned because it is morally wrong to cause animals to suffer, while others are in favour of them because of their benefits to humanity. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. Issues related to animal experimentation arouse controversy these days, particularly among experts. Opponents believe that is immoral and inhumane whereas proponents (others) support this due to the benefits to mankind. I tend towards the viewpoint that animal testing is morally wrong but I support a limited amount of animal experimentations for the development of medicines. Proponents of this issue cite declare some reasons for their idea. Firstly, before some medicines and products before are cleared for human use, they should be tested to help to ensure safety of drugs and because human is the most important being on the planet, so the animals should be nominated for investigations. For instance, for discovering vaccine for HIV the Scientifics scientists cannot do their research on humans. On the other hand, by testing drugs on animals the human health would be improved in order to find novel drugs and treatments. The opponents claim that the animals do not have any responsibilities in relation to human health. We, as humans, should respect to animals and do not keep them in captivityies. There is also the argument that the reaction of a drug in an animal's body is quite different from the that reaction in humans so that research on animals often yields irrelevant results. Some experts believe that although, the bodies of humans and animals show are different reaction against drugs, even individual human beings show considerable differences with regard to their origins and genes. In spite of the differences, roughly 70 percentages of experimentations cause good results for on human beings. Therefore, So due to these concerns regardless viewpoints the researches should not be ceased. In conclusion, it seems to me that it would be wrong to ban the animal experiments for vital purposes until the alternative approaches are be found. |
