Some people think that universities should provide graduates with the knowledge and skills need in the workplace. Others think that the true function of a university should be to give access to knowledge for its own sake, regardless of whether the course is useful to an employer. What, in your opinion, should be the main function of a university? There are a lot of graduates having difficulty with finding a job because their skills do not suffice to be hired by employers, hence knowledge should be combined with required working skills in order to be effective. On the one hand, looking at statistics on unemployed graduates, we could see most of them have no experience for working. As a result, their expectations would not be met and some of them lose their confidence and others find an unrelated job. Therefore, they just waste their time in universities. On the other hand, universities will be transformed into a place with no originality and scientific achievements, if emphasizing just skills important for finding jobs. It is in contrast to opposing with the reasons which universities have has been created. With the advent of universities in the last three centuries, some scientists have emerged arisen those who have pushed back the frontiers of science. Without arousing the humans' curiosity, we cannot reach these huge advancements of technology. Therefore, universities like before should raise the sense of curiosity among students and encourage them to engage in the scientific researches. In my view, we there should be strike stricken a balance. University students can do some practical courses to being prepared for the workplace so that they do not have any problem with finding their favorite related job. In this case, they can spend more time to researching on new inventions. To sum up, in this day and age, we should not expect from universities to focus only on teaching learning just some a limited number of methods for access to information.
