Although more and more people read the news on the internet, newspapers will remain the most important source for the majority of people. Do you agree or disagree with that statement? Some people believe that despite the widespread popularity of the online media, traditional newspapers will still hold the most vital position among news readers. In my opinion, due to the accessibility of the internet, not only do people develop a new appreciation in reading news online, but it might lead newspaper companies to be bankrupt. The first thing that attracts people reading news on the online sources is their easy access. With the presence of the internet around almost every corner of the world, people with a portable device such as a mobile phone can access a huge storage of news. In fact, the latest events would be updated immediately on the web. As a result, neither might do traditional newspapers might be able to compete with the internet in terms of the updating speed, nor are people willing to wait in order to get the news the next day. Another benefit with which the internet can, from my point of view, take over the position of newspapers is the new experience it brings to its readers by which. By which I mean, one limitation of newspapers is that it cannot convey visual video messages to the people who read news on a regular basis. Meanwhile, non-stop progress of technology industry has provided people with various online news with voices or even videos attached. For instance, soccer fans these days can re-watch their favorite matches anytime they want with only a digital device connected to the internet, which a newspaper cannot do. In conclusion, although printed newspapers are still more popular than the online news outlet, I definitely disagree that it would continue to remain the most crucial source of information because more and more people will be drawn to usinge the internet.
