Do you think imprisonment is good or not? Some people think the best way to reduce crime is to give longer prison sentences. As we see, our prisons are already overcrowding and nothing has changeds yet ! The question is, do these kinds of punishments really work? In my opinion, although offenders should pay back for their misdeed, in the first step their family, and in the second, the society is affected by the consequences of their imprisonment. When the breadwinner of the family went goes to jail, his family loses their outcome and poverty would appear soon. As all of us know, unfortunately poverty can makes people to do anything !! In many cases families break down which results in social harm on one hand by raising encourages child labour, on the other hand result in decreasing the level of general education. As much as the more the education level of society falls down, the higher citizens' awareness about avoiding violence.knowledge of be away from violent actions become more. Poverty even for the offender in prisons brings more crimes like killing someone or stealing something. Long sentences cause depression and psychological complexes for criminals, the outcome is hatred toward society and create a desire to take revenge from it. In many cases losing their hope of to the life, end with drug abusing which is an undeniable problem. Another issue, that expands a lothas become widespread, is practicing homosexual acts which originated from their sexual needs. There are some alternative methods like home confinement, fine restitutions and paid community services, which can help to make our society healthier.
