TOPIC: Some parents buy their children a large number of toys to play with. What are the advantages and disadvantages for the child having a large number of toys? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. In order to enhance children's intellectual development, a growing number of parents spend a fortune on purchasing a variety verity of toys for their offspring. Based on conducted researches, toys play a key role in developing children's imaginations. This essay will provide the pros and cons of having a large number of toys for children. Admittedly, providing a wider range of toys to for children to play with can actually build a verity variety of resources. Designed to be educational, modern toys engage a child's senses and encourage them to interact with others. By playing toys such as Lego not only do the children learn, but also they can improve their problem solving skills. For instance, with by simulating the toys, they can improve their own color recognition and brain development. On the other hand, opponents argue that many parents spoil their offspring by purchasing whatever they asked for. When kids have too many toys, they will naturally take less care of them. They will not learn to value them if there is always replacement ready at hand. Moreover, children who have too many toys are more easily distracted and do not enjoy quality playtime. Provided with fewer toys in the environment, children engage in longer periods of play with a single toy, allowing better focus to explore and play more creatively. In conclusion, through a wide range of arguments, I would argue that playthings aid with a child's growth and help them to get rid of isolation, while on the flip side excessive use can be harmful. Thus, it is incumbent on parents to make sure that how many and what kind of toys to be bought for their offspring to make them safe and intelligent.
