Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Universities should give the same amount of money to their students' sports activities as they give to their university libraries. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion. Obviously, universities should consider various factors to decide how they may allocate their money in different areas which make it hard to judge roughly about whether the universities should pay their sports activities equal to their libraries or not. Generally, I can say that it is necessary to invest enough in students’ sporting, although the basic claim is not making sense to me. To beginning with, it is a crucial step to assess any claim logically first. In my point of view, the total statement cannot be accepted due to the unconditional state of it. Moreover, however unique could be the objectives defined by universities, they share a the same general goal altogether: to gain and spread the knowledge. Therefore, it does not seem to be fair to make this comparison between an auxiliary activity and an indispensable part of a whole like libraries which are one of the main elements of many scientific activities from homework to deep discoveries into knowledge. Unfortunately, this inseparable component consumes a dramatic amount of money to remain productive and up to date in areas like: books, computers, software, magazines and even suitable buildings able to encompass their users and facilitate their activities. Of course, I strongly opine belive in providingto provoke the sport facilities for students in universities due to the facts mentioned bellow. “Healthy minds need healthy bodies”/a sound mind in a sound body/ as a common knowledge can be experienced simply by every human being. Studies show that not only do physical exercises help people to prevent from diseases but also it strictly associates with a good mental states which utterly can help students to study better in this case. Additionally, sport exertions can provide students with social interactions’ opportunities and consequently create a more flourished flourishing sociable environment for students, hence a zestier zealous life for university. Likewise, it can serve as a saturated incentive for some students to attend universities enthusiastically. And the last but not the least advantage lies in the economic aspect of sport oriented investments. Futuristically, the more universities invest in sports, the more fruitful profits they will gain in that regard - especially for some countries like the USA in which some university leagues are eye-catchers even more than their professional counterparts. To put it in a nutshell, I firmly go for the supporter of sport related investments in universities, but oppose the way it is claimed in the statement. By whichsimply put I mean, universities’ holders authorities should redress the balance in various fields due to their needs and resources.
