Organized tours to remote community and other countries is are increasingly popular. Is it a positive or negative development for the local people and environment? The past few years have witnessed the burgeoning growth of organized tours to secluded parts both domestic and international. My contention is that this phenomenon brings both beneficial and adverse outcomes on to locals and environmental quality. Tourist packages offers definite perks to local residents, they can enjoy the amelioration in living standards, more utilities, transportation infrastructures and many other beneficial impacts on indigenous’ lifestyle. First and foremost is that increasing the longing for visiting the countryside and far flung retreats has caused exposing serious threats if it such trips is are not organized well. The polluted water and littering are the result of increasing visits to remote areas. Secondly, the local wild life and vegetation are also vulnerable to destruction. The example substantiating this statement is, when travelers bribed the authorities to hunt wild animals. the Aftermath aftermath of which was,has been elephants and rhinoceros hunted down to extinction. Furthermore, apart from this potential peril, intrusion into/on local customs and traditions is a big concern and it can leads to culture cultural extinction. The propensity to aping others can be a detrimental fact to religions of tribes and their beliefs. People can also imitate the way travelers use garments and consumer goods which will make perish the local customs perish. To conclude, I would reiterate my decision that if tourist packages was were not well organized it could be really harmful irrespective of the good points that they brings about with itthem. To mitigate the adverse outcome of tourism new legislations should be passed by governments.
