Some people say that music is a good way of bringing people of different cultures and ages together. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? Music is a phenomenon which have has been existed from very old ages among human societies, so it seems to be an inevitable part of our lives. There are some people who believes that music can make a connection between individuals from different ages and cultural backgrounds. My firm conviction is it does. In fact, I subscribe to the idea that a good piece of music can make a shared language by which everyone from everywhere in the world can communicate with each other. First, music especially traditional music is a way of expressing the feelings. In other words, it is the language of emotions and as all humanskinds have common basic emotions such as fear, sadness and happiness, they can readily enjoy a music even if they do not understand the exact words of the lyrics. That is why listening to an opera could arouse make you burst into up to tears. Thereby, music could be a good option to communicate with people from different regionsparts. Another point is, music abides in the memory for long and brings about lots of good or even sad memories known as “nostalgia”. This situation is familiar for to almost everyone in which two people from different generations have the same favorite song, by which they can feel the same in an empathetic way. This is truly the magic of the notes that people can find a shared value with each other no matter how old they are. In conclusion, not only is it enjoyable to listen to different types of music, but it tells also a lot about various cultures and their distinguished way of showing their affects/making a statement/expressing themselves. I believe there is a natural beauty in music by which one’s heart can speak to anotherone another regardless of one’s age or nationality.
