Whether to agree or disagree with the given statement is quiet hard. In my opinion, it depends on the situation and the way it is done. Today, people who are spending most of their time and energy with children, including teachers and parents are struggling with finding the best approach of to educating children. There are numerous methods around the world to train and teach children. If they do something wrong there are several ways to guide them onto the right path. For instance, using the talking method to enlighten them. This would be a good chance to explain to them and make them understand/realize the reasons,. another way is to encounter/behave/to deal toward with them as a mature person. This would help them feel special, because you see them as a grown-up person, so they act like one, and the last resort is to punish them. In fact punishment has always been an inevitable method to for people who are dealing with children. If we intend to use this method, it is better not to be corporal, of course this method is out of the question and should be totally banned at/from schools. A variety of techniques can be used to punish children in order to tell them that they are at fault or they are hurting people's feeling by their manners/behavior. For example we can discipline a child who is not studying, with video game's sanctions or treating them the same way they have treated us to show them how it feels.(give them a taste of their own medince) The attitude of using physical punishment might teach the children, that bullying others is fine as long as you are stronger and in the lead. This way they might get develop lack of self-confidence, and in some cases they might turn into shy, fearsome and isolated person/people, so it is important to mull over mull-over the methods of punishment and to assess all of the aspects before using them on the child. In conclusion, I would say it is better to be a friend to your child rather than being a strict parent/teacher, because children are our greatest treasure in life and how we are treating them would affect the whole society. It is important for children to learn the difference between right and wrong at an early age. Punishment is necessary to help them learn this distinction. To what extend do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
