Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is more important for governments to spend money to improve Internet access than to improve public transportation. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. There has always been a great debate over how the governments should allocate the budget for various organizations to facilitate people’s lives. Between improving internet access and public transportation, I personally give priority to public transportation. First and foremost, compared to upgrading internet access, more people can receive benefit from the improvement of public transportation. Although developments in technology and communication have caused convenience and many changes in modern life, there are a lot of people that are still illiterate and cannot apply the internet to their lives. Moreover, the betterment of public transportation can connect developed urban areas to poverty-stricken rural areas. In as a result, this connection can made make many changes in their lives in terms of economic economy and socialsociety. For example, constructing railways for small cities including tourism tourist attractions can be a win-win situation for tourists and locals. Secondly, nowadays we are facing many environmental problems that public transportation has a key role to in overcome overcoming them. one of the most important of these problems is air pollution that we are all aware of its dire consequences and private vehicles are the major factor of that. Undoubtedly if public transportation is suitably qualified, people prefer to use the bus and subway. Furthermore, if people use cars lessless car, the amount of exhaust emission will be reduced. In addition, since people’s demand for cars decreases, there would be a decline in machine car manufacturing factories and their owners invest in public transportation. To sum up, I guess the government should devote part of its capital fund on to improving public transportation so development in economy and environment could be guaranteed.
