Some parents buy and allow their children to have anything they ask or want. Is this a good way to raise children? What consequences could this style of parenting have on children as they grow older? While many prefer their children to have whatever they wish, others, however, believe it is not accepted to provide children with everything they demand reasoning pampering children them in this way can spoil them, and prevent them from perseverance to achieve big targets in their future life. When it comes to this notion, I strongly maintain that this approach serves as double-edged sword. An overwhelming majority of people try to buy their children anything they demand, because they mainly hold the idea that children’s feelings are so sensitive that even a simple denial to their requests can result in an irreparable damage to children’s their emotions. Many a psychologist confirms this idea, and highly recommends to provide children with most of their demands. Famous research conducted by an a group of psychologists revealed that many of the dictators suffered from lack of attention, and more often than not they failed to receive what they dreamed about during their childhood. Furthermore, children who access to everything they want may get used to having what they demand, and perhaps this can lead to their future laziness and carelessness to their financial part of life. Having said that, some parents hold exactly the opposite idea reasoning that not only does buying children whatever they like not spoil them, but it also can hone their skills. The famous Iranian famous singer, Vigen, is a good example of a talented child living in an under medium middle strata stratum/class family, but his father buys a guitar for him, and this was just a start for national wide well-known Vigen. That providing kids with appropriate commodities can change their future is an indisputable fact. To cut a long story short, although provision of basic needs for children by their parents is a given, buying whatever children want should be done carefully or else it can ruin children’s their future. Only when parents teach their children money does not grow on trees, can they expect their children to become successful adults in future.
