Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Always telling the truth is the most important consideration in any relationship. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. It is sometimes argued that being honest at all times is the primary factor for people to experience a stable relationship. On the other hand, some people may prefer to manipulating white lies or concealing the truth in order to pass a complicated situation at the moment. In my opinion, telling the truth is the appropriate way to have an outstanding relationship, so that it will bring about our links under control and strengthen them. First of all, there are many harms in untruthfulness that it causes a relationship to collapse. Concealing the truth is more common in business. For example, how many times we have we heard that some products are “the finest” or “the cheapest”? Many products are advertised in the media for persuasion. If companies are telling the absolute truth about their goods, no one will be interested in even looking at their products. Although the products are sold, the relationship between the customer and companies is corrupted, hence, the importance of truthfulness. Secondly, we need the honesty to be able to trust each other. If two persons tell lies in their relationship, they will face a complicated condition. To illustrate, in the story of “liar shepherd” when he shouted wolf many times, although the villagers came for helping him, although there was not even a single wolf has been there. One time the wolf attacked the sheep herd, even thoughand consequently he screamed wolf again, but nobody comes came to his help. Thus, the aforesaid story is the beneficial sample of telling lies many times causes untrustworthyuntrustworthiness. Thirdly, white lies may lead to getting rid of complex conditions, but the truth will be revealed in the future. For instance, the Russian government told people there is no threat in the Chernobyl nuclear site explosion, so people trusted them and stayed in the city, but after few days they were affected exposed by atomic radiation. In conclusion, I maintain that telling lies triggers distrustfully, so that continuing the relationship no longer has any meaning. Telling the truth always is the most important moral principle in our relationship, and it guarantees continuity of relationships.
